I see you are using Entourage 2004. What does the Database Utility say when you verify your database? Could you try this....Drag a folder of messages to the desktop for a test in a new Identity. Switch to a new blank Identity in Entourage under Entourage in the Menu bar. Drag the folder on the desktop to the folder window of the new identity. Create a couple of folders. Now try moving the messages around and see if you can recreate the problem.
