Title: Re: Two Exchange Server Sync Issues
Be sure that your Sent Items folder is sorted by “sent” rather than “received”.

Thanks,

Hi folks.

A couple of my clients are having odd server synchronization issues between Entourage 2004 (100% patched, running under OS X 10.3.7) and our Exchange 2003 server. I don’t know if they’re related or disparate issues, so I figured I’d roll them into one post and see what turns up.

In two cases, the Sent Items folder fails to synchronize correctly. The clients can send messages all day long, but the Sent Items will never show those sent messages. The preferences are set correctly to save copies of outgoing mail to the Sent Items folder. They’re not being misdirected to the local Sent Items, either. In fact, if these clients log in via OWA, everything is just dandy...the messages show up where they should, and everything looks good.

If I clear the cache on the client and force a fresh draw of the mail data, the Sent Items appear correctly, but the behavior continues afterward.

In the third case, the client receives mail...usually junk mail, it seems...which never syncs from the server to the client. If she logs in via OWA, there are several dozen messages in the Inbox marked as unread. She never sees these locally. She does have the Junk Mail Filter enabled, but these messages never appear in the Junk Mail folder, either. Nothing I’ve tried, including cache clearing and so on, seems to be able to make the client recognize these messages.

Anyone have any suggestions, or other information I can provide to help?

Thanks. I’ll summarize any responses to the list.

Brian
