In cases where we've seen this, we've backed up the existing Entourage
identity on the local computer and then removed it, to replace it with a
fresh identity and database. If necessary, we've reimportant information --
you have to plan for that, and preferably archive it beforehand.

We also verified that there were no server-side or local rules available on
any client before taking this step.

It seems to happen, in my experience, when a person is using two different
copies of Entourage on separate computers (like a laptop and desktop), and
the two are occasionally, if not always, running simultaneously. I can't say
whether that's a cause, but all of the similar problems I've seen have had
that in common. I've seen about 1-2 cases on my entire campus, that I'm
aware of.

Also, as I recall, Exchange accounts don't let you specify a different "sent
items" location.

Anyway, this is how we cleared up the "sent items" problem you describe when
we saw it.
