I was wondering if anyone has had any luck creating new calendar events with
AppleScript, using individual events' iCalendar data as the source. I'm just
getting errors (in either compiling the script or running it) with my
initial attempts to do this, pasting existing iCalendar data into a "create
new event" script.

I'd like to do this to take one step towards iCal-like subscriptions in
Entourage. (I need to figure out how to get curl to accept the "webcal"
scheme in URLs.) It might also help with the ability to split apart
multi-event iCalendar files (like almost anything iCal itself creates) for
automatic import into Entourage. Today, Entourage supports only the first
event in each multi-event file.

>From the dictionary, it looks like this should be possible:

"iCal data Unicode text [r/o] -- iCal data representing the item (can
be used as property at creation time)"

Thanks in advance for any ideas!
