Energy saver is messed up on OS X. This is getting OT so I will try to keep
it short. I can chose sleep from the menu, I hear the fans stop, I hear the
drives spin down, the machine is asleep, I can not ssh into the machine, I
can not ping the machine, it is asleep. I can wake it from this with a
click of the mouse button. I can also let Energy Saver do its thing, which
is set to display sleep in one minute and computer sleep in 15. Again, a
mouse click will wake it. It really just depends on the computer, some
people have tons of Energy Saver issues, mostly laptops, the Dual G5's have
some fan turn on issues. Either way, a keyboard or mouse click will do it
for me, at least on this machine.
