1. Does it have an .mbox extension?
2. Do a Get Info to confirm it Opens With Entourage. (It probably does.)
If neither helps, select it, and run this script:
tell application "Finder"
set m to item 1 of (get selection)
set file type of m to "MBOX"
set creator type of m to "OPIM"
end tell
Now it should appear with the Entourage mbox "stacked disks" icon, and
should work. If not, there's something wrong with it internally. Drag it
onto the TextEdit icon. It should open as text. The first line should look
like this:
>From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 31 17:09:31 2003
The date will be different but it should begin with "From [EMAIL PROTECTED] ".
If the
first line is anything else, including a blank line, remove text until you
get to the first separator line of that sort, which must be the top line.
Save, and try the import again.
Perhaps it's too big. Also try File/Import/from a text file/MBOX file.
