Title: Re: Email architecture: 1. message 2. signature 3. reply text
Reno, that was it! Thanks. Can't believe I missed that. It perfectly places each email in that sweet order of:

1. cursor at top, where I type new message
2. Signature
3. Reply text (the message that I'm responding to)

On 4/14/05 8:49 PM, sequoia deftly typed out:

Thanks, Remo. That order is how I'd like if for all my emails. I have my prefs set this way you suggest, but the that 1-2-3 order doesn't line up, at least with the cursor at the top. I'll check out Paul's script. Thanks all.

Sorry...let me clarify. Either:

  • click on “Place reply text at top of message and include this attribution line” AND
“Place insertion point before quoted text”
OR
  • click on “Place reply at top of message and include From, Date, To, and Subject lines from original message”

I hope that clears it up.
