Unfortunately, in my case, that won't work. I use BBEdit *a lot* and especially as my text editor. I have set it up so that files that end in ".txt" and files with a "TEXT" type code open in BBEdit by default (1). Once I've done this, it doesn't matter that the creator code hasn't changed, the file still opens in BBEdit because its type code is "TEXT". -Remo Del Bello 1. To do this just take a file that has a type code of "TEXT" and no file extension (remove the file extension if it has one) and set the default app in the Get Info window. It will ask if you wish to open all files of type "TEXT" with the selected app. -- "I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman." - Homer Simpson -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
