Title: Re: All Data Disappeared
Mark,

Quit Entourage.
Rename the original 'it has my email' folder back to 'Microsoft User Data'. Only 'Microsoft User Data' - IE, no ' 1' after the folder name. It must be exactly the same.
Restart Entourage.
Check your data.

It must be in the Documents folder with the correct name or a new one with the 'correct' name will be created (as you have noticed).

Hey, I just noticed - the initials of the folder spell MUD.

Strangely appropriate...

Subject: All Data Disappeared

I have a PowerBook G4 that was new in November.  I upgraded a few weeks ago to Tiger 10.4.2

Yesterday I was using Entourage normally and everything was working properly.  Today I opened Entourage, the Setup Assistant screen popped up and I realized it was like a new intallation.  All my data was gone.  All the mail plus all the mail folders I had added were wiped clean.  Likewise, all of my thousdands of contacts were gone along with all my calendar inputs and everything else.

I've been reworking some of my folders in both mail and in my documents folder.  Yesterday, in my documents folder, I moved the Microsoft User Data info from its own major heading or folder to a folder titled "Software" which I had just created.  I cannot remember if I opened Entourage yesterday AFTER I made this move.  Today, when the old copy of Entourage wouldn't open, I tried moving the Microsoft User Data folder back to its original position only to find there was already a replacement for it that had been put in the original spot.  I retitled the original folder to Microsoft User Data 1" and moved it back to its original position the I retitled the replacement folder to "Microsoft User Data 2" so now there are 2 copies.  I've tried restarting and opening Entourage again to no avail.  I've tried switching users to find there was only one user listed and that was "main user" which had none of my information.

Can anyone tell me how to get my original Entourage data back and what happened to it in the first place?  Please Help . . . .
