Hello Colleagues, I posted this earlier.
I am using Mac OS 10.4 and Entourage 11.2.0. All was going well but suddenly the Exchange account I use constantly drops my password. The report is: "Mail could not be received at this time. The server for account XXXXX returned the error "Logon Failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?" When I enter the same password again it works once then then same message is displayed. This has not happened before and is obviously not a good way to use Exchange! I have verified the database and tried the following: - Open 'keychain access' and delete the entry for that account from your keychain. Next time you recreate it it should stick - but it does not. - Open Key Chain Access, and from the application menu, select 'keychain first aid' - Tried this but it makes no difference. - Inbox, Deleted Items, Sent Items needs to be 300-400 emails combined. Tried this but it makes no difference. - Try turning off the send/receive schedules as that causes indexing above and beyond the minute check when using exchange. Tried this but it makes no difference. - After deleting the keychain entry, make sure to re-enter your password in the Account Settings window, not in the password prompt that comes up when Entourage tries to check your account. Tried this but it makes no difference. None of the above helps.
