- Fairly regular difficulty in getting mail from IMAP account:
After installing SP2 (Entourage 2004; MacOS 10.4.2) I have started to
experience fairly consistent problems in connecting to our IMAP server. I
get either one of the following messages with regularity:
Connection to the server failed or was dropped. Error -17895
Or
Trying to get mailbox lock from process ... Error 1025
Or (less frequently)
Lost mailbox lock. Error: -2171
This is happening on three machines with regularity. I do not have mail
processes left running on the IMAP server (that should cause the second
error). Furthermore, the same setup was working well before the SP2 update,
which causes me to suspect it as a cause.
Is there anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions/pointers would be
very welcome.
- Some attachments showing inline:
--I have started receiving all the attachments sent to me inline rather than
as attachments. I know there is a way to fix it, but cannot find it. Could
anyone offer help please?

I am only aware of two problems introduced with SP2, do you know of more?
MS are working on an update that should be issued fairly soon.
If you state what the problems are that you are facing, we may be able to offer help to alleviate them.

so is there going to be an update to the SP2 anytime soon?
it seems that each week uncovers a new problem in relation to the SP2 and Entourage.
might we be getting any help from Apple or Microsoft to alleviate these problems?
