It's probably open in thee background (in slimmed down version), and comes
to the front when checking and sending mail. Bring it to the front via
Window menu/Progress. Then click its red Close button to close it. It should
not intrude again.

Except I just tried that, and it did the same thing once here too (on
receive as well as send). But now it seems to have stopped. Strange. So
expect it do it once more after you close the Close box, I guess.
