Entourage is the only Office application that Spotlight doesn't work with.
This is because Entourage uses a single database file instead of individual
files for each message.

I just searched at Apple's Spotlight Plugins page
<http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/spotlight/> for the word Office and
got zero results.

I know a couple of list members have posted their methods of using Spotlight
to search their Entourage e-mail. I think both involved exporting mail into
the Finder using AppleScript and such. One I tried didn't work for me
because it choked on e-mails whose subject started with a period (those
files are invisible in the Finder). I'm curious if anyone is still using any
of those methods and how that's working out.

Although the MacBU said they were looking into Spotlight compatibility for
Entourage when Tiger first came out, I suspect we will not see that happen
until the next full version of Office (for Intel Macs) if ever. I'd
certainly love to be proven wrong, of course.
