Although I’ve been traveling frequently for years, I’ve just started using the Time Zones feature of Entourage. While I see real value most of the time, one thing I can’t figure out is how to deal with events that begin in one time zone and end in another—like for example, an airplane flight. There’s almost no value in viewing a takeoff or landing from the wrong time zone; making two separate events doesn’t seem to help. Has anyone found an answer to this?
You have to place the flight into a time zone. The best way to do it is to do it in the time zone of departure. You can then change your computer’s time zone to the one for arrival and see the arrival time.
I am flying from Sydney to San Francisco in May next year. The flight arrives in local time before the flight leaves Sydney in local time, since it goes over the international date line. There is no way to enter into the system the details of the flight showing local time of both ends. It would have a negative duration.
