    Because, as my wife is so fond of reminding me (nag,nag,nag), I am
always in too much of a hurry and don't read the instructions.

    Fair criticism; I plead guilty (usually, because I use a Mac, I don't
have to read the instructions..but I did go through them in Entourage
looking for an explanation before I troubled folks on the list with my
question.  I always try to solve these things on my own and only post to the
list when I am stumped in my efforts).

    I'm squared away now and understand both the meaning of <All Day Event>
and <Duration>and...thanks again for your assistance.
