Yes that's correct.  She has a separate account in the OS.

We're both running the same daemon.  I deleted Microsoft Office X a long
time ago.  Just now I verified that we're both running the same version of
Entourage, and removed the Database Daemons from both our login items so
that Entourage would put the correct version in.  It did, and they were the
same:  /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Microsoft Database Daemon

Even after that, they still appear differently in Activity Monitor (OS X
10.4.3).

I believe it has something to do with what information Activity Monitor has
access to on your own processes versus another user's.
