Am thinking I have not explained myself clearly due to my lack of expertise [not unusual]. The address book in Entourage [using 11.2.3] is supposed to open to the top of the list of addresses each time one uses it w/o bouncing down the list to whomever was the last contact. Mine always did this in the past. I tried the method Beth graciously suggested and appreciate her help which does unselect the name, but this is cumbersome to do every time I open my address book. The book upon opening locks onto whatever name I used previously.
Thanks again for any insights, and I apologize for needing "connect the dots" to do this.
