No, sorry...I was responding to Allen because it seemed from his message that he was unnecessarily dancing between settings whenever he moved. I was just sharing settings as an Earthlink user to another Earthlink user. In your case the hostname could be anything your hosting provider setup, as Larry pointed out. The host your ISP has designated for incoming mail to johnfquinn.com is "mail.johnfquinn.com", but that's for incoming. There may be other *outgoing* SMTP server available to you. As Larry said, you'll have to contact your provider to see if they offer SMTP Auth and an alternate submission port. I tested it and "mail.johnfquinn.com" doesn't respond on ports 587 (SMTP Submit) or 465 (SSL SMTP), so if they do offer an alternate port to submit mail to, it isn't a standard one. -Remo Del Bello -- "Never under any circumstances take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night." - Dave Barry "19 Things That It Took Me 50 Years To Learn" -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
