No, sorry...I was responding to Allen because it seemed from his message
that he was unnecessarily dancing between settings whenever he moved. I was
just sharing settings as an Earthlink user to another Earthlink user.

In your case the hostname could be anything your hosting provider setup, as
Larry pointed out. The host your ISP has designated for incoming mail to
johnfquinn.com is "mail.johnfquinn.com", but that's for incoming. There may
be other *outgoing* SMTP server available to you. As Larry said, you'll have
to contact your provider to see if they offer SMTP Auth and an alternate
submission port. I tested it and "mail.johnfquinn.com" doesn't respond on
ports 587 (SMTP Submit) or 465 (SSL SMTP), so if they do offer an alternate
port to submit mail to, it isn't a standard one.
