Does the Project Center really work? Are there any fatal flaws I need to know about?
I was using it daily since soon after it came out, and earlier this year but a few months ago it started doing the spinning beachball whenever I would change the view in the Project Center - for example, click on Overview, or Schedule, or Notes. The spinning beachball lasts about 10 or 15 seconds. Then it finally lets me get back to work. Latest build of Entourage - version 11.2.5 (060620). All updates applied. Latest Mac OS (10.4.7) 4.5 gigs of RAM 3 gigs RAM free Dual 2.3 Ghz Power PC G5 The spinning beachball ³trained² me to not use the Project Center at all. Too long to wait. I use Entourage constantly. It is totally stable. The OS is totally stable. I use Word all the time. It is as stable as Word can be (I have 400 page manuscripts in Word). I have been experimenting with letting Project Center grind away doing whatever it does, seemingly interminably, and just switching to some other program. Word still works. Anyway, I am just checking. On a machine this fast and stable, with so much Ram, it is a bit perplexing that PC would bog down.
