Thank you for the reply! That is quite the workaround. I to think the developers should provide
this feature, as it is VERY necessary. ----- Jimmy Schrage From:
[email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of sdpalmer The only workaround I have come up
with is to make a fake “distribution list”. It takes a bunch
of manual steps, but some of it can be automated. Basically I created a
bunch of Contact folders inside of the main Contact folder each with the name
of the distribution lists to be converted. We then used a PC to save the
real distribution lists as a text file and then did some script post processing
to clean them up and imported them into the Entourage “distribution
list” folders that we made as individual contacts. The user can
then browse to that folder when addressing a new message and then do a select
all and drag the names to the To field. Even though this keeps everything
up on the Exchange server it has the unfortunate side effect of not being very
useable with OWA. Many of our users didn’t like this because it
takes a few extra steps so we may be converting back to local entourage groups.
If you want any more detail on the processes we used let me know and I
can give a more in depth explanation. Anyone? From:
