Two ways:

1) Turn off "Capitalize first letter of sentences" in AutoCorrect. Which you
probably don't want to do, or it would have occurred to you already.

OR

2) Add new Replace - With pairs to the AutoCorrect list, with "Replace text
as you type" also checked:

    Replace | With

    Ipod | iPod
    Imac | iMac

etc. Remember to click Add button.

Now: if you also have "Correct Two Initial Capitals" checked in AutoCorrect,
you have to remember to to type "ipod" with no capitals at all (no "P", just
"p".). If you type it as "iPod" it will change to "ipod"! (In fact, if you
have "Correct Two Initial Capitals" checked, you could enter the "Replace"
box as "ipod" rather than "Ipod" if you wish, but that won't work
otherwise.)
