Hi: Mmmmm, interesting. First sorry, my english could no be good, but ill try hard.
There is an application called Carbon Copy Cloner thats make exacts copy of hard disks. Since I understand that the 3 computers are macs and PPC. Ok, I'll do it in this way: El 24/9/06 17:14, "Lindsley Williams" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> escribió: > What we want to do is revive C with B's content, Use Carbon Copy Cloner to create an exact copy of B hard disk on C. http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html Is donationware, and is a great utility. > then put A's content > including licensed second copy of Office/Entourage onto B You could do the tricky way explained in this note of the Apple Knowledge Base: Is simply create a new user with the same name of A's, move the content of A´s user and delete the old B user. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106941 http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106290 Also, if this procedure is too technnical, you coud connect one PowerBook to another putting one on Target Firewire Mode and using the Migration assistant in Aplications > Utilities to move the A user to B > and finally, put > son's captured data and its third (student) copy of Office/Entourage onto A. Back up on the hard disk of the user of C (if is needed) and Same trick of above. Maybe, in the worst scenario you maybe reinstall Office eventually to "move" some licenses, but with this method, no only info is moved, also preferences, keys, passwords, cookies ... Its the same user experience from one mac to another. I hope this Help Carlos Burges Ruiz -------------------- http://www.faq-mac.com -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
