I think Entourage is by far the most appealing mail application, but
it is also full of strange behaviour, especially regarding IMAP.
Entourage is beautiful and fun to use, but I find myself using
Apple's Mail instead.
So, I agree that Entourage is in danger of getting old, because "the
core" (handling mail protocols like IMAP) isn't modern enough.
I have not noticed anything special on Intel machines though.
I really hope Microsoft makes a better core in Entourage 2007, but
keeps its appealing look and feel.
