This happens to me also quite frequently.  Lately it's been emails from a
particular sender who *is* in my address book and whose emails are not
subject to any MLM rules.  Just like you, when I click on the "This is not
junk" button, the email is immediately moved to my Inbox (do not pass Go, do
not collect $200, do not offer junk mail options!).

This is not a new thing; it has happened every now and again, with various
contacts, for as long as I can remember.  I have no idea why.

One thing I have not tried (but you might want to, Robert) is to delete the
contact (your wife) from your address book and then recreate the entry.  If
that does work, let me know :-).
