Diane,

I do that. The MLM collects the messages as they come in and sorts them into
folders for each of the lists I monitor. Then after I have read the messages
I manually transfer them to an archive folder for that list. I know there
are on-line archives, so why do I maintain my own archive, you ask? Force of
habit I guess - I am a great pack-rat.

I could keep all the messages in the one folder where they are saved by the
MLM, but since I view messages in a pseudo threaded fashion the new messages
would be scattered throughout the folder. I say pseudo threaded because
Entourage does such a poor job of threading, especially with the loss of
functionality we got with the Entourage 2004 release. The replacement
group-by capability is very onerous for this since it generates a huge
overhead - an extra non functional line for each change in subject.

I believe that I have an effective process (if I pay attention to what I am
doing), but if you have any other hints or suggestions I would be glad to
hear them.

Thanks,

   Jim
