Attention All Geniuses in Entourage, Mark/Space Missing Sync and Treo
700P¹s:

I am having a great deal of difficulty syncing Entourage 2004 latest version
with my Palm Treo 700P. I am using Mark/Space Missing Sync 5.1.2(140) on a
PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.4.9.

The calendar sync¹s fine, limited categories of contacts sync fine, but the
syncing all the contacts won¹t work. I checked with Sprint advanced tech
support. They say the limit of the number of contacts is 9,999 which is more
than my 7,000.

They say the limit of the number of contacts is based on available Ram in my
Treo, which is 47mb. I don¹t know how to measure the size of the contact
data in Entourage before I try to sync it with my Treo.

Here is my most recent sync history (underlined items are my emphasis
added):
>
> Sync starting at 5/18/07 11:10 PM (23:10:29) on USB (5.1.2)
> Using profile named: <None>
> Syncing Address Book
> An unknown error #16394 occurred
> Failed Entourage Conduit (0x400a)
> Sync completed successfully at 5/18/07 11:14 PM (23:14:01)

In the last sync, where I set the Macintosh to overwrite the Palm Treo, it
blanked out my contacts list in the Treo COMPLETELY (after a very lengthy
time where the Treo screen said it was ³Synchronizing Address²).

The error message on this last sync on my Treo screen was that it lost the
connection between the handheld and the desktop, which is a load of BS (bad
stuff) since it just finished successfully syncing the calendar.

I have almost 7,000 contacts and probably 600 of them have large ³Other²
(note) fields with maybe 15 pages of text in each entry. I have even
created a category of ³info-no phone number² and told the Entourage conduit
to sync everyone except that category, and the results were as noted above.

ALSO, does anyone know how to determine the actual SIZE of the contacts list
that is being imported into the Treo from Entourage???? I think that may
have something to do with the problem. I have 47mb free in the Palm.

I think I have listed all pertinent info for you sleuths, so Please:

HELP HELP HELP HELP this is driving me insane!!!

I don¹t want to stop using Entourage. I don¹t think the problem is with
Missing Sync, but perhaps it is.

Thanks!!!
