On 2 of my 3 Macs I installed the 11.3.6 update. Now, on those 2 Macs, all
login items in System Preferences have been removed, except for Microsoft
Database Daemon and MenuCalendarClock Entourage.

Because of what's still in login items, I suspect that a bug in the 11.3.6
updater deleted everything that isn't from Microsoft.

This is a disaster, of course, since I don't remember everything else that
is supposed to be in login items.

I think I remember that this happened with an Office update 2 or 3 years
ago, too.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Both Macs are G4s, so I assume this isn't a result of the reported disaster
with the new iTunes and QuickTime updaters. On the other hand, my wireless
Apple keyboard wouldn't reconnect for a couple of hours, so maybe all this
trouble is caused by something else. Thankfully, as you can see, the
keyboard finally reconnected.
