She did a verify. It found no errors so didn't do a rebuild. I guess it
wouldn't hurt to do the rebuilt. That generates a backup file. Can the
backup file be deleted?

Thanks for the suggestion. Will do above if nothing else works. The problem
started yesterday. She uses POP Hotmail so I asked her to go to the web and
remove emails from yesterday. Haven't heard back.
