I sometimes get a month or two of messages that had already been received
and, I thought, deleted, dumped into my mailbox all at once. I have my
preferences/settings set to ³delete from server when deleted from this
computer², yet every now and then I find that 200 or more messages have
returned and been dumped into my mailbox once again.
I¹ve asked others in my Mac user groups, and they all think this is an
Entourage problem, and not with the assorted ISPs or servers, as it happened
in all my email accounts, from 3 different servers (one for my business,
which is hosted by one server, one from my home DSL, and a third left over
from when I used earthlink and transferred that account to a neighbor.
What¹s up with this? Why do the messages come back if they¹ve allegedly been
deleted from the server?
