Hello,
Thanks to Linda and Roger for the quick responses and helpful
directions.
The "Unable To Log In To Account After an Upgrade Install" document
looked as if it would work, but alas it ended in an error message
about not finding the username.
So the Apple-Care Tech had me do an "Archive Data without User
Settings." This got rid of the log-in problem, but then I had a fresh
Leopard Installation with all my applications and data in a folder
called "previous systems."
Apple-Care coached me on moving many things to the new "finder."
But some applications will have to be freshly installed as they didn't
like being dragged around.
Apple-Care would not touch "Entourage" however. This is Microsoft
Office 2004.
This was my primary concern, because I have a large opt-in networking
list that I moderate. And a number of emails I'd like to respond to.
Would someone care to advise me about how to move my Entourage data
from the "previous systems" folder on my hard drive - to wherever it
goes in the new installation - and how to make the new (empty) version
of Entourage associate with my previous data.
Thanks in advance for any help.
