Take a look not at "preferences," but at Tools -> Accounts -> [Name of Account] -> Sending mail -> SMTP server ...and make sure that you have entered the appropriate SMTP server for either of your non-ISP (your non-home connection provider, e.g., you want gMail and/or AOL). Another possibility is that your daughter's ISP has blocked your sending mail on the port that you were using. For example, my home ISP blocks me from sending mail through an ASMTP account on Port 25. I can send mail through my ISP's SMTP on default Port 25. But if I use another provider's ASMTP while I am at home, I send mail on port 587 or port 8025. Tools -> Accounts -> [Name of Account] -> Sending mail -> SMTP server -> Advanced sending options -> [x] Override default SMTP port.... gMail may like port 465 or port 587. gMail's instructions are a bit confusing, and do not seem to have Entourage 2004. <http://mail.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?topic=12805> AOL may like port 587. <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/accounts/aol.html> If you start to monkey around with "Override default port", make sure to take notes of what you had entered in there before the changes, just in case you need to revert. Write it down, or take a screenshot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Roger S.
