We have an Windows 2003 Exchange server SP3 with Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista,
Mac OS 10.4.9 - 10.4.11, and Mac OS 10.5.1. The Macs are using Entourage in
Office 2004 with current updates installed.

What happens when our Mac users delete messages from the Exchange INBOX, it
goes directly to the Deleted Items folder within the Exchange mailbox in the
Entourage database. Sometimes it slips up to the Folders on My Computer's
Deleted Items folder, and there doesn't seem to be any explanation why it does
it. As for being deleted and going straight to the deletion nether world, in
rare cases that happens but 98% of the time the deleted items go to the Deleted
Items folder.

I do not know of any setting in either the Entourage Exchange Account settings
or the Entourage Account settings to allow for immediate and complete deletion
of messages. The only other things to check would be the Rules and Tools > Run
Schedule > Edit Schedules to see if something was set up there.

Regards,

Oh, so this is an Exchange problem. Sorry, I can't assist on this, but
others on the list may be able to.
