Entourage 2004, Mac OS 10.4.11, Intel Core 2 Duo.
I wanted to see the hubbub about Identity windows. I have only one
Identity, so I created a new Identity in Entourage 2004 ("Test Identity").
When I tried to switch back, Entourage would not let me. It gave me the
following message:
"To switch identities, quit MSN Messenger and all Microsoft Office programs
and then restart Microsoft Entourage."
No other Microsoft Office program, or MSN Messenger, was running.
I restarted the Mac. I opened Entourage 2004, and tried to switch
identities, but got the same message.
I restarted again, and manually trashed the "Test Identity". I then started
Entourage 2004 (works fine), and tried to "Switch Identity," which really
means "create a new Identity." But I am still receiving the same error
message.
Any ideas on what's happening?
