You need to have both POP and SMTP in the Account setup in order for Entourage to accept it and work properly. I sounds that you're trying to receive POP mail from the same POP box, under two accounts, at the same time. As you discovered, that does not work well. Since (it appears that) there is only one POP in question, you don't need to poll it with the 2nd POP account. Why don't you do different Repeating Schedules that do: Tools -> Schedules...
