The Empty Cache function is still there.

Right-click on the folder in question. Select Folder Properties. Select the
General Tab. Click Empty under the Empty Cache section.

I had missed this when Office '08 came out and consider it a big deal as
it completely kills one way in which I use Entourage. Despite the one
discussion if could find of it
(<http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage/brows
e_thread/thread/bfd95c851acad78d>), "Repair Message List" does not achieve
the same result because I want the messages from that account gone, not
repaired.

Why? It's my wife's account. When we're traveling, she uses my computer.
Once we're home, I want her stuff (and perhaps more importantly, the bolded
"you have new mail" account name) off my computer. I don't want to mark her
mail read (which would get rid of the bolded name) and I don't want to
delete her mail from the server.

Creating a separate identity for her would be one workaround but a bit of
a pain as it doesn't fit with how we share the computer when traveling.

I have to say that after a month of using '08, I'm disappointed. I see
little useful to me new functionality while a lot of useful to me
functionality has gone away. It makes me wonder how in touch Microsoft is
with how real-world users use the product.
