I'm seeing no problem in Entourage 2004 nor 2008 with the invitations you
sent me privately.

Paul is correct that you cannot send yourself meeting invitations. The text
of the message will come through but the event is already on your calendar.
There will be nothing to accept.

I would imagine the reason I see this problem mentioned so frequently is
that many folks don't understand that Calendars in public folders aren't
tied to accounts. Often, folks are thinking they are sending a meeting
invitation through the public folder Calendar when they're actually sending
it themselves. The organizer finds he can't accept the meeting he's just
scheduled.

I'm even finding that if you're sending from one account to another account,
and neither is Exchange, then Entourage won't even let you send an
invitation.
