The mild weather made me get out and do some tree searching in the local
area, here are a few photos you might enjoy:

Red Oak, 12' cbh above swollen buttress, 95'+ tall, oldest son for scale-

Sweet birch, 6'8'' cbh, 75' tall--birches are not common in our area-

Freeman maple, the natural red/silver hybrid, still mainly green even on
Nov. 5th, after both parents are all but entirely defoliated. Found on a
floodplain where red and silver maples are common.
