Water Oak, eh? There's supposed to be a few of those here in NJ. Whether they
were planted or are native, I don't know. I don't know enough about them. But
on one of my tree expeditions several weeks ago when I was looking for Bald
Cypresses, there was supposed to be the state champion Water Oak in the same
general area, but I never found it. I couldn't find any large trees at all. I
must have been in the wrong place.
