Dear Ents,

This is Monica Leverett writing on Bob's email account, just to let you all
know how he is doing.  He had a robotic prostactectomy yesterday, and the
surgery went very well.  The surgeon says that everything looks good, though we
won't have a firm prognosis until we get the pathologist's report in a week.
The nurses say that he is doing fine.  We expect him to be in the hospital for
2 or 3 days.  I'll let you all know when he is home.  Or he will probably email
you all then.

The hospital is 5 minutes from our house, so visiting him is very easy for me.
We have a fabulous private room with a couch that turns into a single bed, so I
can stay with him overnight.  And they even encourage that!

We are feeling very hopeful.

One nice thing at the hospital is a continuously running video from C.A.R.E.
which shows all kinds of nature scenes accompanied by relaxing music.  He gets
to watch his favorite western mountains, flowers, birds, trees and tree leaves,
so he identifies trees as he mends.  There is also a nice spruce friend of his
that he can see from the hospital room window.

And he's got his math books with him, so if anyone wants to write about Problem
18, I can get the info to him.

He really appreciates all your good wishes.

Best,

Monica
