Ed & ENTS,

I returned to the ravine with the devils walkingstick and measured the
tallest one I found. It measures 11" x 32.3. I forgot to get it's spread.
I cut one that was dead at it's base but it's center and outer rings were
rotted so I made another cut a foot above it's base and counted 10 rings.
The circumference at the second cut is 10". I saw one that is a little
fatter but I didn't measure because I was short on time, I was on my lunch
break. On my way out I saw a sumac in the 40'-50' range on the other side
of the stream. I hope to return in the morning when I'm not pressed for
time. Jenny, I took a few pictures but they don't look to good so I'll take
some better ones when I return.
