I'm sure I listed it under "noteworthy trees "in the report I did.  It is
9'10" x 64.7.  It lost a small portion of its top.  I never thought to
measure it's spread.  The tallest one I measured was 6'1" x 108.3.

Beautiful sassafras tree.  Did you get a measurement?  It is not listed on
Scott's big tree listings or in his Valley Forge trip report.

Here's a picture of a 9'10"cbh sassafras from Valley Forge National Park.
You can see the reddish-brown bark that Steve was talking about.
