If you are really into wildfires, I've got a couple of links for you.  Here
are some links that I use to watch over my brother's house in Banos, Ecuador
for wildfires and lava flows.  Reference http://www.loujost.com.  The
following sites cover much of the western hemisphere and processes data for
wildfires by color codes regionally:

http://modis.higp.hawaii.edu/cgi-bin/modis/modisnew.cgi
http://goes.higp.hawaii.edu/goes/index.shtml    ...on this one be sure to
click on an image to get further processed/enhanced imagery.
