If anybody is interested, we rescued the last 3 doves in Queens on
Thursday. We rescued somewhere between 75 and 80 in all. Several were
found dead in other locations. ("We" being about 6 volunteers from NYC
Pigeon Rescue Central with backyard ladders, a wire trap, and a couple
of nets)I made a pretty crappy quality video. You can see the eastern white pines and the white mulberry they liked so much. Those trees saves their lives. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yF7VgLtgNE It's about 3 minutes, so if you're in a hurry, skip it. If anyone wants to whittle a perches from a tree that we can put in their cages, that would be really great. And whittle your initials in too!
