Yesterday's tornado in Minneapolis did more damage than I thought, 
although still nothing like the 1981 tornado. The tornado wrecked the 
roof of a school (which may not be able to open this fall), and created 
a hole in the roof of the convention center (where the Evangelical 
Lutheran Church of America is having its convention--obviously god 
wanted to weigh in on the issues they were voting on at the time of the 
tornado). Hundreds of trees were blown down and several streets are 
closed. The neighborhood that was hit had a lot of green ash, so it was 
a good preemptive strike on the part of the tornado, to take out a bunch 
of ash before the emerald ash borer gets to them.
