Ed I am surprised Volusia County doesn't have an arborist on board down there. Probably one of the most knowlegable people on Live Oaks would be Don Gardner with the Extension service in Glynn County GA. That would be about two hours up the coast from Daytona. http://www.ugaextension.com/glynn/contact.html.
Seems like you could check with any of the cities on the lower Atlantic or Gulf Coast woud have materials on the live oaks. Check with these people, they may have some info http://www.savannahtreefoundation.com/ On Aug 25, 8:48 am, "Edward Frank" <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > I am writing to you as the volunteer Chair of the City of Daytona Beach > Beautification/Tree Advisory Board. > > Our city is blessed with an abundance of historic and specimen Live Oak > trees.
