I can't help. But wow! That's terrible, what's been going on. I can't believe it. Hope things work out eventually, with a good PSA in the media. Barry

Our city is blessed with an abundance of historic and specimen Live Oak trees. Unfortunately, land owners, tree trimmers, landscape architects, landscapers and even nursery suppliers confuse the Live Oak species with other oak species such as Water Oaks, Laurel Oaks, etc., which have a prescribed failure rate. Many people in my community believe that all Oaks are the same and have the same rates of failure. This is resulting in the over-pruning; improper pruning and even removal of historic Live Oaks in our community that are hundreds of years old! The only solution to this issue will be education of the issues. I am seeking PSA campaign materials for broadcast and print that will educate people in my area of the difference between these Oak species: how to identify them; understanding failure symptoms and life span stats. Also, how to correctly prune or plant a historic Live Oak without killing it. Any assistance you can offer on this specific subject would be greatly appreciated.
