Dave,

I will check out the area near Driftwood. There are many of these types of
sites in North central PA and they always have been a favorite of mine. I
posted about Beartown Rocks in particular because I was there on Friday and
because of its proximity to Cook Forest. Drop me an email when you ca get out
ad look at some things sometime.

  Good Morning!

I will check on the chestnut tree up above Emporium to see if it is still
alive.

You are right about Bear Town Rocks being a neat place. Did you ever go up
to District 13 (Emporium) and walk the Fred Woods Trail down by
Driftwood/Sinnemahoning? It is the same type of thing as Bear Town Rocks, but
is even more impressive. Huge,Huge rocks, and more of them. It is a really
neat spot. The total trail is a four mile loop, but is nearly all level. Not
a hard walk at all for the vast majority of it. Well worth the trip.

  Have a great day!

  Dave
