That is a beautiful snake. Looks like he recently shed his skin, his colors and patterns are so vibrant.
A few years ago I almost stepped on a copperhead in Hanging Rock State Park that was so brightly colored that I've always assumed it was wearing its new skin. Fortunately I saw it lying just off the footbridge before I could trample on her. I'd very definitely have stomped right on it if I hadn't seen her in time. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Eastern Native Tree Society http://www.nativetreesociety.org Send email to [email protected] Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/entstrees?hl=en To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
