Don:

In 1975 & 1978, I worked in the Cleveland and Angeles National Forests
fighting fire. I'll never forget the close calls we had trying to save
million dollar homes as the Santa Ana winds moved wildfire like I've never
experienced. I learned how to be very professional in southern California.
I was also structure trained in Los Angeles county. During red flag
warning, I could take a cold shower late at night after my shift ended, step
outside in the dark and dry off faster with the hot air, than using a towel.

I've never been involved in a discussion/chat site before so I'm getting to
experience the excitement and addiction that my children have with face book
etc. I've been able to understand them better since I became a member, but
the great trees are my interest so I have to suffer a little with the
enjoyment. I never thought this experience would help me connect with the
younger generation.
