Sounds like a good idea.  BTW--rememeber that tree that you, Monica and 
I initially misidentified while looking at its bark during a hike in the 
woods behind Monica's house a month ago?  That would be a good tree to 
start with. You said you were going to give me a picture of that tree 
anyway--but I would also like to see what ENTS think it is when they see 
the picture of the bark.

The black oak bark from Mount Tom looks like black oaks near their 
northern range limit in MN.
